While searching YouTube for stuff to post, I stumbled across this video. As I began to watch it, I realized that I had recorded this show and completely forgotten about it. As you can tell from the videos I post, I'm not really one to be complaining about quality but if you want to watch a VHS transfer compressed to shit, go ahead and click on that YouTube link above. I transferred this from the original 8mm tape and tried to make it look as pretty as possible.
AFI play a song from their first album and a Minor Threat cover at the Showplace Theatre in Buffalo, NY, on April 1, 1997.
In an effort to update more frequently, I am going to start posting videos I have found on the internets. I stumbled across this one while killing time on YouTube. Anti-folk singer/songwriter and comic book artist Jeffrey Lewis performs the Crass song "Punk Is Dead" at The Tralf Music Hall in Buffalo, NY, on February 18, 2008.
This was originally supposed to be posted at the same time as the Despair video and was going to be the full set as well, but I ran into a number of problems transferring and converting the videos. I only had time to do one song today, so here is "Revolution Song" by New Day Rising on March 1,1997, at Erin Mills Church in Mississauga, Ontario.
I have been meaning to make a post like this for some time, and I figure now is as good a time as any. This is just a quick look at some of my videos that are being featured on other sites.
Two of the videos on Lemuria's MySpace page were taped by yours truly. One from the "Get Better" record release show was previously featured here, and this is the other one, "Bee Spit" at The Last Stand in Buffalo, NY, on May 1, 2007.
La Cacahouette have two music videos on YouTube, and this one for "Bomb Parts" features some footage I shot in the summer of 2007 at Mohawk Place.
Also, check out the video for "Cocaine Unicorn" even though I had absolutely nothing to do with it.
A solo acoustic performance of "I Used To Be A Painter" by Micah Winship of Unwelcome Guests is available on their MySpace page. This was recorded on March 27, 2008, at Mohawk Place.
Welcome to the Lake Erie Monster music video blog. The focus here is on live music videos of punk, hardcore, and indie acts, either from Buffalo, NY (and the surrounding areas), or other acts performing in and around Buffalo, NY.
