Jimmy Eat World - March 17 & 19, 1999
Jimmy Eat World are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their album, "Clarity", with ten shows starting next week in New York City and ending in Tempe, Arizona.
This first video was filmed on March 17, 1999, at the First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia, PA. At the time, "Sweetness" was a new song. It later ended up on "Bleed American".
The second video is from the Showplace Theatre in Buffalo, NY. The last song on "Clarity", "Goodbye Sky Harbor" was also the last song of the evening of March 19, 1999.
Check out Jimmy Eat World on Myspace and follow them on Twitter.

Lucero - July 3, 2007
I just posted a review of Ben Nichols' mini-album, "The Last Pale Light In The West" at Rapid Transit Radio. This is a video of Ben's band, Lucero, performing "Ain't So Lonely" and "That Much Further West" on July 3, 2007, at Xtreme Wheels in Buffalo, NY. The Props Road Fools Rock-N-Roll BMX Tour 2 DVD contains footage from the same show, but I haven't seen it.

Franz Nicolay - January 13, 2009
YouTube user offtowar posted some videos of Franz Nicolay performing at Mohawk Place last month. You may know Mr. Nicolay from World/Inferno Friendship Society, The Hold Steady, or any of his numerous collaborations. He just finished the first leg of a tour supporting his solo record, "Major General". Check out the tour diary that contains a brief mention of the Buffalo show.

In an effort to update more frequently, I am going to start posting videos I have found on the internets. I stumbled across this one while killing time on YouTube.
Anti-folk singer/songwriter and comic book artist Jeffrey Lewis performs the Crass song "Punk Is Dead" at The Tralf Music Hall in Buffalo, NY, on February 18, 2008.

2008 Year-End Round-Up
I have been meaning to make a post like this for some time, and I figure now is as good a time as any. This is just a quick look at some of my videos that are being featured on other sites.
Two of the videos on Lemuria's MySpace page were taped by yours truly. One from the "Get Better" record release show was previously featured here, and this is the other one, "Bee Spit" at The Last Stand in Buffalo, NY, on May 1, 2007.
La Cacahouette have two music videos on YouTube, and this one for "Bomb Parts" features some footage I shot in the summer of 2007 at Mohawk Place.
Also, check out the video for "Cocaine Unicorn" even though I had absolutely nothing to do with it.
A solo acoustic performance of "I Used To Be A Painter" by Micah Winship of Unwelcome Guests is available on their MySpace page. This was recorded on March 27, 2008, at Mohawk Place.
Rebecca Ryskalczyk's MySpace page also features two videos from the same show on March 27, 2008. This is "Pleasures Of The Damned".
Visit Rebecca's MySpace page to see a cover of "Bizarre Love Triangle" from the same show.
Last but not least, The Olean, NY Area Punk Graveyard and A Shpadoinkle Punk Blog both feature a video I shot of The Buddy Revells in Olean, NY, on March 21, 1998.
You can download The Buddy Revells' cassette "Metal Kills" at A Shpadoinkle Punk Blog.

Lemuria - January 11, 2008
Lemuria played an album release show a few days back at Mohawk Place in Buffalo, NY. Here's three songs from the middle of their set with special guest, Tony Flaminio (of The Failures' Union and The Exit Strategy). Fall Out Boy - November 19, 2007
Fall Out Boy played a secret show in Buffalo, NY, at Mohawk Place on November 19, 2007. They did a Pantera cover with Keith Buckley from Every Time I Die on vocals after they sang "Happy Birthday" and smashed a cake into his face. The video from my point-and-shoot digital camera is blurry and shaky, and the audio is even worse, but at least there's finally a new post.

The Wynona Riders
The first band I ever videotaped (besides my friends' bands) was The Wynona Riders, an early 90's East Bay pop-punk band , that played to a handful of people at the Showplace in 1995. This is the song "Squirrel Happy". If you like what you hear, I suggest you check out their album, J.D. Salinger.

Texas Is The Reason
Eleven years ago today, Texas Is The Reason opened for Snapcase at the Showplace Theatre in Buffalo, NY. I was still pretty new to taping bands, and for whatever reason, I shot this from somewhere in the middle of the crowd. I soon learned there were better places to tape from and to plant myself there before bands started. I apologize in advance because the camera work is a bit shaky at times.
Here's the flier from the show.
